Launched as Pusan Promotion Plan (PPP) in 1998 at the 3rd Busan International Film Festival, Asian Project Market (APM) has connected talented Asian directors with booming new projects to film industry professionals all over the world. Opening a wider window of opportunity for investment and co-production, APM has stretched its field beyond Asia to the West since 2007. It accepts projects from more countries and sees a noticeable increase in transnational co-productions. Many APM projects turn into sought-after films internationally. Asian Project Market has selected 412 projects over the past 16 years and numerous APM films have traveled to prestigious international film festivals.
