Launched as Pusan Promotion Plan (PPP) in 1998 at the 3rd Busan International Film Festival, Asian Project Market (APM) has connected talented Asian directors with booming new projects to film industry professionals all over the world. Opening a wider window of opportunity for investment and co-production, APM has stretched its field beyond Asia to the West since 2007. It accepts projects from more countries and sees a noticeable increase in transnational co-productions. Many APM projects turn into sought-after films internationally. Asian Project Market has selected 585 projects over the past 22 years and numerous APM films have travelled to prestigious international film festivals.
Due to the global outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 23rd Asian Project Market will go virtual and take place from 26 to 28 October this year.
