Kamla Abou Zekri



Born in Egypt in 1974, Kamla Abou Zekri started working as an assistant director. In 2004, she directed her feature debut FIRST YEAR CON. Her cinematic includes the critically-acclaimed ONE-ZERO in 2009, which participated in numerous international film festivals including the Venice International Film Festival, receiving over 45 local and international film awards. She also directed another critical darling, HEADS AND TAILS in 2006. As for TV dramas, Abou Zekri directed, “A GIRL CALLED ZAT in 2013 and WOMEN'S PRISON in 2014. Her latest film A DAY FOR WOMEN premiered in 2016.
