Biography

Born and raised in Shiraz, Iran, Fateme Ahmadi is a writer- director based between London and Tehran. Fateme studied Persian Literature and Filmmaking in Tehran and received a scholarship for a Master in Filmmaking at London Film School. Her graduation film ONE THOUSAND AND ONE TEARDROPS won four awards including Best Short Film at London Feminist FF and a Special Jury Mention at East End FF. Fateme is writer and co-director of CHANDRA, supervised by Naomi Kawase and premiered in Busan. Fateme is an alumna of Berlinale Talents. Her latest short BITTER SEA will have its world premiere at Short Shorts in Tokyo. She is also associate producer on a feature documentary, COUP 53,  by Taghi Amirani. Her next project is a feature film currently titled YOU, ME & LEYLI.
