Marie Amachoukeli

It's not easy to film a border. You can always film a sign, but it's artificial. This invisible line must be reflected elsewhere so that the camera can capture it.

Marie Amachoukeli attended the La Fémis film school in France, in the screenwriting department, and holds a a degree in History. She co-directed the short films FORBACH (Grand Prix at the Clermont-Ferrand Festival, and second prize from the Cinéfondation at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival) and IT’S FREE FOR GIRLS (César for Best Short in 2010, and selection of the 2009 International Critics' Week) together with Claire Burger. Her first feature film, PARTY GIRL, co-directed with Claire Burger and Samuel Theis, won the Ensemble Prize (Un Certain Regard) and the Caméra d'or award in Cannes in 2014.
