Ana Rocha De Sousa

Portugal

At a certain point in my life, I absolutely understood that my goal as a filmmaker is to combine and embrace contrast.

Ana emerged as a filmmaker after a successful career as an actor in Portugal. In 2007 she completed a Fine Arts Degree in Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon, where she developed her passion for the power of the visual image in photography and film. In 2010 she moved to London to further develop her skills at London Film School, where she completed her MA in Filmmaking in 2013. Her documentary LAUNDRINESS (2011) was nominated for Best Short Documentary at the International student Film Festival London 2012 and was selected for the Cannes Short Film Corner. Her latest film is LISTEN (2020).
