Ana Cristina Barragán (Ecuador 1987) is a script writer and director. ALBA, her first feature film, was released in IFF Rotterdam 2016, received a Special Mention at the San Sebastián IFF 2016 (Horizontes Latinos) and has been screened in over 30 international festivals and won 17 international awards. Ana has directed three short films exploring pre adolescence: AWAKE, NAPE and VIOLET SUNDAY, which was released in the official competition at the FF Locarno. Her feature project OCTOPUS SKIN, which got a development support from Hubert Bals Fund, is part of Cinemart 2017.
