Born in 1975 and raised in the outskirts of Paris, Benjamin Parent obtained a degree in cinema at Sorbonne Nouvelle and worked as an assistant on music videos. He then became a copywriter in ad agencies before dedicating his time to writing (including stand up shows) and directing. In 2011, he co-wrote a short film starring Charlotte Rampling entitled THE END and selected at the 2012 Berlinale. T’S NOT A COWBOY MOVIE, his first short film was selected in Cannes Film Festival in 2012 (la Semaine de la Critique) and nominated at the 2013 french Cesar. He is currently writing is first feature.
