Biography

Margaux Bonhomme (Paris, France, 1974), starting at a young age, worked as a photographer, collaborating with agencies such as Magnum and Rapho, after which she honed her technique at the London Film School. She returned to Paris after receiving her degree, in 1998, and began her career as a director in cinema and advertising, all the while exhibiting her photographs in Paris and Arles. In 2009, she made her first short film, UN CERTAIN DIMANCHE, which received the Audience Award at the Festival of Pontault-Combault, as did another short film of hers, LA VOIX DU KATE MOSS, which was awarded in 2012 at Montpellier. In 2011, she dealt for the first time with the topic of disabilities in her documentary short BEL CANTON, the start of a reflection which became central in MARCHE OU CRÈVE (2018), her first feature film.
