Boo Junfeng (1983, Singapore) premiered his second feature-length film APPRENTICE (2016) at Cannes Film Festival Un Certain Regard. It has gone on to receive several awards at film festivals around the world and is Singapore's 2017 official entry at the Academy Awards Foreign Language Film category. His debut feature SANDCASTLE (2010) premiered at Cannes Semaine de la Critique. His career started with award-winning short films, including Clermont-Ferrand Competition entries KATONG FUGUE (2007) and KELUAR BARIS (HOMECOMING) (2008) as well as Berlin Panorama selection TANJONG RHU (2009).
