Claire Burger attended the La Fémis film school in France, in the editing department. She co-directed the short films FORBACH (Grand Prix at the Clermont-Ferrand Festival, and second prize from the Cinéfondation at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival) and IT’S FREE FOR GIRLS (César for Best Short in 2010, and selection of the 2009 International Critics' Week) together with Marie Amachoukeli. Her first feature film, PARTY GIRL, co-directed with Marie Amachoukeli and Samuel Theis, won the Ensemble Prize (Un Certain Regard) and the Caméra d'or award in Cannes in 2014. Her latest film, REAL LOVE, won the Best Film award at Giornate degli Autori (Venice).
