Once we’ve all finished killing each other, what do we do with our dead? How do we heal our wounds? We need to take a look at the scars of our past. It has to start with individuals, to repair the country.

César Diaz was born in Guatemala in 1978. After studying in Mexico and Belgium, he joined the screenwriting course at La FEMIS in Paris. He has been editing fiction and documentaries for over ten years. He also directed the SEMILLAS DE CENIZAS (2010) short documentaries, screened at two dozen international film festivals, as well as TERRITORY LIBERADO (2015), which won the IMCINE award in Mexico. OUR MOTHERS (2019), his first narrative feature, was selected for the 58th Semaine de la Critique, where it won the Camera d'Or and SACD Award.
