Biography

Dancyger is a Korean-Polish filmmaker Born and raised in New York City. She graduated from Bard College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Film Production. Her short film CHOPPING ONIONS (2015) traveled the festival circuit internationally from Cannes, Berlinale, Hamptons International, Reykjavík INT'l Film Festival & more. in 2016 She directed a film featuring queer musician and performer, Mykki Blanco, who recites Zoe Leanord’s 1992 Poem “I Want A Dyke For President.” Her most recent short film, CHEER UP BABY (2018) premiered at Sundance Film Festival '18 and New York Film Festival '17. She is currently in post-production for her first feature film GIRL PROPS, which she co-wrote, co-directed, and co-stars with Victoria Cronin and India Menuez. She is in post production for an ongoing music video project with Musician, Okay Kaya. Dancyger has directed films for Dazed and Confused Magazine, been featured for her works on platforms such as Nowness, Vogue, I-D Vice, Raveline and Fader. She has directed music videos and has acted in independent films. She has worked as an Director/editor for companies, Philosophy and Gucci.
