Biography

Joaquín del Paso was born in Mexico City. He studied filmmaking at Cuba’s Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión and at the National Film School in Łódź, Poland. He is a co-founder of Amondo films, a film collective based in Warsaw, Delhi and Mexico City. He has made numerous short films like DREAM OF SAN JUAN (2012). His feature debut, PANAMERICAN MACHINERY (2016), was selected at the Berlinale Forum. It won the Mezcal Award for best Mexican debut film.
