Biography

Fernando Eimbcke was born in 1970 and studied cinema at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
In 2004, Eimbcke wrote and directed DUCK SEASON which premiered in Critics’ Week at Cannes. His second film LAKE TAHOE won the FIPRESCI and Alfred Bauer prizes at the 2008 Berlinale. Eimbcke also directed an episode of the portmanteau film REVOLUCiÓN that screened in the Berlinale special in 2010.
His latest film CLUB SANDWICH (2013) won Best Director at the San Sebastián International Film Festival and Best Film at the Torino Film Festival.
