Biography

Born in Beirut in 1974, Rabih El-Amine is a Lebanese screenwriter and film-maker who has been based in Montreal since 2003. He holds a BA in Communication Arts (Radio/TV/Films) from the Lebanese University. His first documentary, AHMAD THE JAPANESE, was screened in various festivals and won a jury prize at Docudays. His first feature-length film project, TREES ALSO DIE, participated in Med Film Factory, RAWI-Sundance Screenwriter’s Lab, AFAC Scriptwriting Workshop, Ateliers Sud Ecriture and obtained AFAC and SODEC development grants. His film I CROSSED THE HALLWAY premiered at Jihlava IFDF.
