We live in a neoliberal and macho world, in a patriarchal system, which has really shaped the world only by looking from the masculine side. There are battles that must continue to be fought; we women must continue to open up spaces for ourselves.    


Iria Gómez Concheiro, Mexico City, 1979. Her short film, DIME LO QUE SIENTES, has garnered awards at the Toulouse, Milan, Buenos Aires, Clermont- Ferrand and Tel Aviv film festivals, including an Ariel for Best Fictional Short Film. THE CINEMA HOLD UP, her feature debut, premiered at the 2011 Sundance Festival. Her last feature BEFORE OBLIVION premiered at the Morelia IFF 2018 and was screened at FICUNAM 2019.
