Biography

Born in Japan in 1979, Yuki Kawamura lives and works in Paris. A video practitioner and filmmaker, he shot SENKO in 2008, which was his first fiction feature film and which won the oecumenical award at the Oberhausen film festival. In 2010, his documentary GRANDMOTHER received the short film award at the festival Cinéma du Réel. In 2013, he was awarded another prize at Cinéma du Réel, for his documentary MIRROR OF THE BRIDE. UN AMI DE SIBERIE is his second feature film. His film NORIE (2019) had its world premiere at Visions du Réel - Nyon.
