Biography

Mónica Lairana was born in Argentina in 1973. She's an actress of cinema and theatre. She has worked on more than ten Argentinians films, including the starring role in LITTLE SKY directed by M. V. menis (Official Competition San Sebastian Festival 2005) and ADRIFT, directed by F. Pacheco (Official Competition Venice Film Festival 2012). ROSE, her debut as a director and screenwriter, was selected and competed for the Palme d'Or at Cannes Film Festival in 2010. ROSE screened at Rotterdam Film Festival, Miami Film Festival, Leeds, Guanajato, Gijón, La Habana, Amiens, Biarritz, and others, and won 20 international awards in differents categories. THE BED is her first feature film.
