Biography

Ramin Matin, born in 1977, completed his bachelor’s degree in communication arts at Loyola Marymount University, in the United States, and earned a master’s degree from the Istanbul Bilgi University film department. His first feature, THE MONSTERS' DINNER (2011), won awards at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, Montpellier, and Ankara International Film Festival. His second film, THE IMPECCABLES (2013), premiered in Busan and went on to receive the prestigious Best Film and Best Director Awards at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. In 2016, Matin directed a section of the compilation film COASTLINERS. SIREN'S CALL is his latest film presented at the Tokyo IFF.
