Jeppe Rønde, born in 1973, is one of the most recognized, award-winning Danish filmmakers. Since graduating from the University of Copenhagen in 2002, he has directed short fiction films, feature documentaries and commercials. His debut feature documentary, JERUSALEM MY LOVE won countless international prizes at Nordisk Panorama, Taiwan IFF and Dok Leipzig FF (Golden Dove).His second feature film THE SWENKAS won the Special Jury Prize at Hot Docs 2005, Best Documentary at CPH:DOX and was nominated for European Film Academy Awards (2005). During the last few years he won several ‘Roberts’ (Danish equivalent of the Oscars) for his TV and feature documentary work, including 8 episodes TV-series for the national Danish Broadcasting Union (Danish BBC) called “The Quatraro Mystery”. Rønde was voted best commercial director in Denmark 2010, and in 2013 he won two Cannes Lions, gold and bronze for direction and cinematography.
