I am not much of a theorist; I rely on an aesthetic instinct more than trying for a particular formal approach.
Rachel Lang was born in Strasbourg, France (1984). After combining studies in philosophy at the Marc Bloch university with the Dramatic Arts Academy of Strasbourg for two years, she entered IAD film school (Institut des Arts de Diffusion), in Louvain La Neuve in Belgium. Her graduation short film FOR YOU I WILL FIGHT (2010) was awarded the Silver Leopard at the Locarno Film Festival. WHITE TURNIPS MAKE IT HARD TO SLEEP (2011) was the second part of a trilogy, followed by BADEN BADEN (2016) - Rachel's first feature - which marked the end of the trilogy. It was selected in 2016 at the Berlinale Forum.
