Biography

Anita Rocha da Silveira majored in Cinema in 2008 at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. She wrote, edited and directed three short films: THE NOON VAMPIRE (2008), HANDBALL (2010) and THE LIVING DEAD (2012). HANDBALL won the FIPRESCI Award at the 57th ISFF Oberhausen, and THE LIVING DEAD was part of The Directors’ Fortnight 2012 selection at the Cannes IFF. In the past years, Anita has also worked as an assistant director, teacher and scriptwriter. MATE-ME POR FAVOR is her first feature film.
