Biography

After graduating KAIST with a degree in industrial engineering, he studied film at San Francisco Art Institue. His first feature THE LAST DINING TABLE (2006) won the NETPAC award at Busan Internation Film Festival and was presented at many prestigious festivals such as FF Locarno, Sundance FF, and IFF Rotterdam. LAND OF SCARECROWS (2008) won the New Currents Award at Busan IFFl and was presented at Berlin IFF and ACID (Cannes IFF). It was followed by BLACK DOVE and BLACK STONE, which premiered at the IFF Rotterdam.
