Biography

Born in 1980 in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, he moved to France in 1996 and studied film in Montpellier and Paris Universities. His short film BEYOND THE MEXIQUE BAY (2008) was selected at the 47th International Critics' Week at Cannes 2008, won the Best Mexican Short Film at the Guanajuato International Film Festival and was part of the selection in over 40 international film festivals. In 2013 he directed SABLE (SAND), shot in France with the support of Loire Atlantique region, the short film has been selected in various festivals. He was part of the 4th Filmmakers Academy at the 66th Festival del Film Locarno 2013 which selects 25 young filmmakers from around the world who prepare a first feature film. CASA CARACOL is his first feature film.
