I like films that feel like dreams or nightmares. Realism bores me to death. I think films should be parables. Tone and atmosphere are my favorite brushes to paint with in cinema.
Sebastián Hofmann is an accomplished Mexican filmmaker and visual artist. HALLEY, his feature debut, premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival and was selected to screen at numerous international film festivals. It won eight awards and has been nominated for five Ariel Awards. His most recent film TIME SHARE won the Special Jury Prize at Sundance FF and was nominated for two awards at IFF Rotterdam. Hofmann is also a successful producer, editor, and cinematographer. In 2011, he co-founded the Mexican production and distribution company, Piano.
