Bohdan Sláma is among the highest-regarded Czech directors today. He holds a directing degree from Prague’s FAMU. His feature debut, WILD BEES (DIVOKÉ VCELY), won the 2002 VPRO Tiger Award for best film at Rotterdam and the SKYY Prize at San Francisco. Sláma's SOMETHING LIKE HAPPINESS (STESTÍ) won the 2005 Golden Shell at San Sebastián and the Czech Lion for best director. THE COUNTRY TEACHER (VENKOVSKÝ UCITEL) screened at Venice in 2008. Variety named him one of "10 Directors to Watch" in 2009. Sundance Film Festival welcomes Sláma with FOUR SUNS (ČTYRI SLUNCE).
