Tatjana Kononenko, born 1980 in Kirovograd, Ukraine, currently lives and works between Berlin and Tbilisi. She graduated in Media and Art at University of Arts Berlin with her first essay documentary KEEP OUT (premiered at the Jihlava IDFF). Toghether with Prof. Siegfried Zielinsky she founded a new program „Doing theory“ at UdK Berlin, studies between theory and arts practice, supported by DAAD. Tatjana Kononenko was working for Arsenal Institute for film and video art Berlin till she moved 2015 to Paris. She was a fellow of the Elsa Neumann Programme of Berlin Senate for particularly promising artists. THE BUILDING, her first full-length and also graduation film at the German National Film Academy (dffb), had its Premiere at Jihlava IDFF in 2019. Tatjana Kononenko has been working with film and as film curator in projects often dealing with the issues of memory and history.
