When I’m writing, I never ask myself anything. I just follow the flow and my thoughts as I put them down on paper. It’s only afterwards, when the story settles down, that I understand the original source of my inspiration and why the story followed the path that is has.    


Ana Urushadze, born in Tbilisi (Georgia) in 1990, graduated from the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Georgia State Film University (TAFU) in 2013 and directed several short films such as IDEAS (2010) and ONE MAN LOVED ME (2012). SCARY MOTHER is her feature film debut and it premiered in Locarno.
