Biography

César Vayssié is an artist who produces films, pictures and performances. After graduating from Beaux-Arts (Fine Arts) in Dijon, he joined the Académie de France - Villa Medici in Rome as a filmmaker and produced the movie LES DISPARATES (2000). The confusion between plastic artist and film director is emblematic of a work permanently trying to find itself, starting from intra and extra cinematographic influences, often close to plastic arts and live art. With the film UFE(UNFILMÉVÈNEMENT) (2016), César Vayssié pursues an untypical path which invests the field of performing art. His latest documentary DON'T WORK (1968-2018) (2018) is listed in the International Competition list of the 2019 edition of the IndieLisboa festival.
