Haifa International Film Festival

The leading cinematic event in Israel, Haifa International Film Festival, was founded in 1983 as the first international film festival in the country. Named as one of Variety Magazine's “50 Unmissable Film Festivals", Haifa has developed a worldwide reputation for both the quality of its program and its promotion of pluralism, coexistence and gender equality. Festival highlights include Israeli and international film competitions and VR installations. The Haifa Festival was a pioneer in Israel, inaugurating the “Our Story” pitching conference. Haifa’s industry events - tailored to the artistic development of Israeli and international filmmakers - include film and television workshops and forums nurturing future co-productions.
