Throughout its history, the Locarno Film Festival has occupied a unique position in the landscape of the major film festivals. Every August, around 160,000 cinema-goers, 1,000 journalists and 3,000 professionals converge on the small Swiss-Italian town of Locarno, right in the heart of Europe.

Please note that press reviews related to the films in the Pardi di domani section that celebrate their online world premiere on Festival Scope are subject to embargo and may be published 30 minutes after the start of the online screenings.

The selection of the short films will be made available to the public in two releases, the first on August 5 at 9pm and the second on August 9 at 9am.
