Rio International Film Festival annually presents over 300 films from all over the world, with emphasis on the most recent Brazilian and Latin American productions. Brazilian films are the heart of Festival do Rio and the best annual global showcase of contemporary Brazilian cinema. As the only competitive section of Festival do Rio, Première Brasil screens new Brazilian productions during the festival, most of which are having their world premieres in Rio.
