The biggest challenge but also the thing I cherish the most about my work as a documentary filmmaker is the constant need to stay curious: to look for stories, to talk to people, and the necessity to explore each topic I'm working on thoroughly. I'm grateful for this being my job and for the fact that people still want to share their intimacy with us, filmmakers.

Barbora is a graduate of documentary directing at Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. Barbora has worked as a member of the creative teams behind several TV shows. She worked with Hitchhiker Cinema on the documentary series Unsung Heroes. Her student film ABOUT MY SISTER (2016) won LITA prize for the best directing at Festival of student films Áčko and two more prizes at 24th MFFK Febiofest: Jury Prize for Best Film and Audience Award. Her latest film is LINES (2021), selected at Jihlava and winner of the Best International Documentary, Best Sound Design, and Best Debut.
