    Sergei Dvortsevoy was born on August 18, 1962 in Chimkent, Chimkent Oblast, Kazakh SSR, USSR as Sergey Vladimirovich Dvortsevoy. He is a director and writer, known for TULPAN (2008), SCHASTYE (1995) and KHLEBNYY DEN (1998). His latest film, AYKA (2018), was a prize winner at the Cannes FIlm Festival.
