
Thirtysomething Chinese-born Lina borrows money to move to Paris to save up money to pursue her entrepreneurial dreams, leaving behind her husband and son in Dong Bei province. But once in Europe, nothing goes as planned. Forced to repay her debts, Lina becomes inevitably tangled in her own web of lies.

Belgian director Olivier Meys turns his attention to the exploitation of Chinese women in Europe in this well-acted, low-key drama.

Olivier Meys is a Belgian director. He has directed several documentaries and fiction, including DANS LES DECOMBRES in 2008. He was director of the AJC (Ateliers Jeunes Cinéastes) in 2001. He also produced radio documentaries such as A LA SOURCE DU BUG in 1998 and FIEVRE in 2001, which won the Grand Prix SCAM Radiophonic Festival in 2003. He spends his time between Beijing and Brussels, and speaks fluently Chinese.
