A group of young lesbians from São Paulo go on a trip to a remote beach. While they wait for New Year's Eve, they build a safe and pleasant environment through music and friendship. They take care of themselves, they own their bodies and their memories and they feel free.

Lyra is a director and cinematographer based in São Paulo, Brazil. In 2015 she directed her first short film, A PLEASED MAN. Since 2015, she has worked as a cinematographer for several short films and 4 features. As a director, Lyra intends to explore the experience of not performing standard femininity in patriarchial society. BREAKWATER (2019) is her second short, it was presented at Clermont-Ferrand ISFF 2020 and won Best Documentary Film Award (International Competition).
