    Aidan Shipley is a Toronto-based filmmaker from Stratford, Ontario. After acting in Atom Egoyan's The Captive, he went on to study directing at Ryerson University. His shorts include Dorsal, which was awarded the A&E Short Filmmakers Award for best film by the National Screen Institute, and Boxing, which played the Festival. Cardinals is his feature debut.

    Grayson Moore was born in Kitchener, Ontario. He studied film production at Ryerson University. His directorial debut, Running Season, premiered at the Festival in its Short Cuts Canada programme, as did his follow-up short Boxing, which he co-directed with Aidan Shipley. Cardinals is his first feature.
