    Nijat, a young man devoid of any emotion, returns to Goychay, the city of his childhood, after years abroad. Despite remaining mysterious about his business, it is clear that he is in financial distress, and asks an old family friend to help sell his late father's house. Ali, a foreman of the original building of Baku expects a major boost in his career. Already appointed Assistant Regional Director of a team building a highway, he decides to settle in Goychay with his wife and infant son. Meanwhile, he lives with his boss, with whom he has formed a strong friendship. It will take three days to find a buyer for Nijat's house, and during that time, everyone involved in the affair will be challenged with various moral and ethical issues.

    I think both cinema and chess, they in one way or another reflect life. You have to be both tactically and strategically thinking.

    Born in 1987 in Baku, Azerbaijan, he graduated from Bates College (USA) in 2009 with a BA in Theater and pursued MFA at the High Courses for Screenwriters and Directors in Moscow. He worked for Vice Media in New York City and Dozhd Television Channel in Moscow as director of promo content. He edited over a dozen award-winning films. His feature debut with CHAMELEON (2013), co-directed with Elvin Adigozel, was selected at Locarno FF's Cineasti Del Presente section. His latest film THE ISLAND WITHIN (2020) was selected at the 26th Sarajevo FF.

    Elvin Adigozel was born in 1989 and still lives in rural Goranboy region, west of Azerbaijan. While working for a local television channel he saved money to shoot his first short film. He later went on to co-direct "Chameleon" that premiered at Locarno IFF (2013). His directorial debut feature film "Reporting from Darkness" had its World Premiere in FIDMarseille (2018). In 2019 he made a short film "Shooting Ms Rena's Film!" and it was in competition at Busan IFF. His new feature film is BILESUVAR (2020).
