    Drama

    Manuel and Lupe want to have a baby. When Manuel discovers he is infertile, he starts to fall apart both physically and emotionally. After exploring several options, Manuel turns to Rubén, his new friend, to act as their donor. In return, Rubén asks to stay for a few days at Manuel and Lupe’s, promising to leave soon for the States. His presence will change everything, and Manuel’s dream of being a father will end in his own exile.

    Andrés Clariond Rangel was born in Monterrey in 1977. He has a BA in Law with a minor in Film Studies from the University of Monterrey. He also holds a masters degree in Cinematography from the University of Columbia, New York, with a major in film directing. He has directed several shorts, such as TENTACIONES (1999), QUIMERAS (2001), POR UN MATRIMONIO FELIZ (2003), PAREJOS (2005) and PEORIA (2010). HILDA (2014) was his first feature film. CLOSE QUARTERS (2019) is his most recent film.
