“Things never are what they seem, and neither am I what I seem”.
COPPERMAN, or rather, Anselmo, is a man who travels the world with the innocence of a child and the heart of a lion. Abandoned by his father, who he believes to be a superhero, Anselmo lives with his mother, who by persistently repeating to him how “special” he is, has also convinced him of it. And just like Forrest Gump, he has preserved through time a childlike purity and the disarming candor of one who doesn't know diffidence. His great love is Titti, who he had met at school at 10 hours, 34 minutes and 12 seconds on a special day, and then was swallowed by the vortex of an excessively long absence. Then there's Silvano, the town's blacksmith, coming from God knows where, his putative father and mentor. A man of few words and with a gun. And who became his friend at 11 hours, and 47 minutes of April 12th 1991. Thanks to him, Anselmo becomes COPPERMAN.
