A young couple Dong and Juan who bicker and fuss throughout their relationship strive to make a living in Shenzhen. Dong works as a guard at a deserted waterpark in hopes that the old stage be reopened so he can resume his acting career to play the Monkey King. He meets ex-dancer Yuan there and gets to know her life. Juan wishes to open her own flower shop while currently arranging flowers at Mr. Long’s establishment; she is attracted to Long’s mysterious demeanor. The relations between these four people become gradually displaced while the dankness of the muggy, wet weather creeps upon them.

Ming is a screenwriter, director and designer living and working in Shenzhen. His short film A SONG (2005) was screened at the 2nd China Independent Film Forum and the Asiatica FF in Rome. His feature film DAMP SEASON (2020) had its world premiere at IFF Rotterdam.
