Slab City is a squatter community in California's poorest desert region. Despite living off-grid in extreme conditions with no infrastructure or amenities, the residents enthusiastically embrace their freedom in the beautiful badlands of the desert. An unforgettable bunch of regulars and their dogs gather at Rob's makeshift internet cafe for coffee and wifi in "the last free place in America".
