    An ordinary day in the mega-city of Istanbul: Ten-year-old Cemo sells paper tissues in the streets, Hayat is controlled by her husband and transsexual Ebru sells her body. All three have a secret love and they do everything to satisfy their longing, if only for a moment. An authentic, delicate and unsettling story about love and death and the Turkish society at the beginning of the 21st century.

    Born in 1969 in Istanbul. Esen Isik has joint Swiss and Turkish citizenship and studied Film at the Zurich University of the Arts. She was honoured several times at the Swiss Film Awards. For her shorts BABAMI HIRSIZLAR CALDI (1999) and YOU&ME (2012), she received the Swiss Film Award for Best Short Film, her first feature KÖPEK (2015), was awarded for Best Fiction Film and Best Actress. It was selected for several international festivals.
