Every camper’s worst nightmare came true at Lake Bodom in 1960 when four teenagers were stabbed to death while sleeping in their tent. As the years passed and the case grew cold, the unsolved mystery turned into an urban legend, a creepy campfire story passed from generation to generation. Now, a group of teenagers arrives at the same campsite, hoping to solve the murder by reconstructing it minute by minute. As night falls, turns out not all of them are there to play… Tonight… it’s girls against boys. Let the killing games begin.

    Director's Statement

Ever slept in a tent? Or hidden under your blanket, knowing that something is out there to get you — and there’s only a thin layer of fabric to protect you from the horrors of the outside world? This is what LAKE BODOM is about: a universal experience of fear, and finding the courage to fight it. My aim is to deliver a pure survival horror film, in the vein of WOLF CREEK and EDEN LAKE. It is not about the blood, nor the violence — it’s the anticipation of something dreadful to come. And in the dark woods of Lake Bodom… your anticipation will be rewarded.
