    1943. Turkey is working with Nazi Germany and using similarly brutal methods against members of the opposition. Aram, an Armenian dissident, painter and poet, life in Istanbul is growing more dangerous by the day. He flees to the Soviet Union border, where Mikhail and his young wife Mereyem give him shelter. As time goes by, Aram and Mereyem grow closer, making the situation for all concerned unbearable.

    Özcan Alper (1975, Turkey) attended courses in Physics and History of Science at the University of Istanbul. Since 1997 he has been working as assistant director and production manager on a variety of productions. He directed a short fiction and two short documentaries. AUTUMN (2008) was his feature debut. Özcan is one of the five film makers of the omnibus film TALES FROM KARS (2010). He is screenwriter and director of the short film called MOTO GUZZI and his latest work, MEMORIES OF THE WIND (2015), was selected at IFF Rotterdam and Istanbul IFF.
