Tightly woven, with a brisk pace that still has room for non-stereotypical local color.
A sharp, affecting film that's brimming with darkness and hope, every instant of it vividly alive.
The film shines a spotlight on two compelling American actors — both on the cusp of stardom in their own ways — and reintroduces us to a third, whose true calling might have been found behind the camera.
Annabelle Attanasio was born in 1993 in Los Angeles. She is an actress and writer and a founding member of Thick Media. Her first short, FRANKIE KEEPS TALKING (2016), has played over 30 festivals and won awards including Best Female Protagonist at NFFTY. Her first feature, MICKEY AND THE BEAR (2019), had an acclaimed world premiere at SXSW. The film went on to win the Grand Jury Award at IFFBoston and screened at prestigious festivals such as Cannes Acid.
