    Miss Blue Jeans is a bittersweet drama about 17-year-old Välde. The story looks back to the arrival of punk in a small, bleak town in the north of Finland, when young men of strange appearance and attitude suddenly began appearing on the streets.

    MATTI KINNUNEN is a MA in screenwriting and film directing at the University of Art & Design Helsinki (1996). He also studied filmmaking in Berlin, in the ‘Deutsche Film- und Fernseheakademi’ and ‘Hochschule den Kunste’ (1993) and at the SOURCES 2 screenwriting workshop in Ireland (2008). Kinnunen has written and directed successful drama series for Finnish tv-channels. MISS BLUE JEANS is his debut feature film. The script was developed at the SOURCES2 workshop together with the French director-writer Gabriel Auer.
