    Comedy drama

    Hamo, an old farmer, lives with his wife in a remote village in the mountains of Armenia. The money their son sends them from Russia barely allows them to survive. But Hamo nourishes a dream of acquiring a Moskvitch, the most beautiful car in the world, the one that had been promised by the Soviet authorities and that he never received. The Soviet Union is gone, but the dream of Hamo remains. He learns that there is one for sale in a nearby village ...

    Aram Shahbazyan (b.1971) graduated from Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinema in 1994, Directing Department, In 1996-1997, he studied in La Femis as a Film Director. He has worked as Chief Director of Ar TV Company, Director at Armenian Public TV Company and Director Assistant at Hayfilm Studio. He worked for SHOGHAKAT TV, where he directed the documentary series “A corner of the Planet” and “Village sketches”. His short film AKNER was selected by the 27th Moscow IFF 2005, for the section Perspectives. He won the Best Director Award twice at the “Yes Em” IFF of Young Filmmakers in Yerevan, in 2004 and 2005.
