The routine of an inept apprentice gravedigger changes when a new employee arrives at the cemetery. Together they must locate abandoned graves, but strange events make them think about the implications of tampering with the dead.

Juliana Rojas
Brazil
Juliana Rojas was born in Campinas, Brazil, in 1981. She studied film at the University of São Paulo. There, she met Marco Dutra and they have been working together ever since. They’ve directed the short films THE WHITE SHEET (Cinéfondation – Cannes 2005), A STEM (Kodak Discovery Award – Critics’ Week – Cannes 2007) and THE SHADOWS. She’s also directed VESTIDA (2008) and PRA EU DORMIR TRANQUILO (Court Toujours Award – Toulouse Cinelatino 2012). In 2011, Juliana and Marco’s first feature film – HARD LABOR - premiered at Cannes – Un Certain Regard. Her second feature is NECROPOLIS SYMPHONY.
Their latest creative collaboration is the fairy tale inspired feature film GOOD MANNERS (2017) which won the prestigious Silver Leopard at the Locarno Film Festival in 2017.
